How it works

Tell it which station you’re standing in and spin. The wheel holds every platform with a train leaving soon; wherever it stops, that’s your platform and the next train from it is your train. Roll again and it picks one of that train’s stops. Get off there.

The notes on each suburb are written with affection and a straight face. The places in them come from OpenStreetMap, and shops close: trust the map over the joke.

Both rolls are drawn fairly, on your own device, from your browser’s secure random number generator. Your current roll is kept on this device so it survives a reload.

This site uses Google Analytics to see how many people visit and how the game is played. It records the pages opened, each spin and roll and where it landed, and what any analytics tool sees: the kind of device and browser, roughly where it is, and the site that linked here. Google sets cookies to tell one visit from another. Its advertising features are switched off. How Google uses this information.

Train times come from the published timetable, with live delays and cancellations where available. Platforms can change at short notice and V/Line platforms are only announced at the station, so always check the screens before you board.
